The VEIKONG CH530 is a heavy-duty AC drive developed for cranes, electric hoists, winches, and industrial lifting machinery. The CH530 supports three-phase AC 380V-480V power supplies and covers motor power ratings from 0.75kW to 710kW. It can control both asynchronous motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors, making it suitable for new crane systems, equipment upgrades, and replacement projects.

Accurate Mechanical Brake Control

Reliable brake coordination is essential for crane and hoist applications. The CH530 controls the mechanical brake according to the motor current, output frequency, and adjustable timing settings.

Before the mechanical brake is released, the drive can establish the required motor torque. This helps prevent the suspended load from dropping or slipping during startup. During stopping, the drive coordinates motor deceleration and brake application to achieve a smooth and controlled stop.

Multiple brake timing parameters can be adjusted according to the crane structure, motor characteristics, load conditions, and mechanical brake response.

Powerful Heavy-Load Starting Performance

The CH530 provides excellent low-speed torque performance for demanding lifting applications. Under closed-loop vector control, the drive can deliver up to 150% starting torque at 0Hz.

This enables the motor to generate sufficient torque before the mechanical brake is released. It is especially useful for hoists, winches, mining lifting systems, and other equipment that frequently starts with a suspended load.

Anti-Slip Control for Hoisting Safety

The built-in anti-slip algorithm helps prevent unexpected load movement during lifting and lowering. The drive maintains stable motor torque during low-speed operation, startup, and direction changes.

This function reduces the risk of load slipping caused by insufficient starting torque or incorrect coordination between the motor and mechanical brake.

Integrated Anti-Sway Technology

Load swing can reduce crane efficiency and make accurate positioning difficult. The CH530 includes an anti-sway control function for trolley and bridge travel mechanisms.

By optimizing the acceleration and deceleration process, the drive helps reduce suspended-load oscillation. This allows the operator to position the load more quickly and reduces unnecessary forward and reverse adjustments.

Zero-Servo Load-Holding Function

If the mechanical brake fails to close correctly or cannot provide enough holding force, the motor shaft may begin to rotate. The CH530 can detect this movement and activate the zero-servo function.

The drive generates holding torque to help maintain the current position of the load or trolley. At the same time, an alarm can be triggered to notify the operator of the abnormal condition.

Automatic Light-Load Speed Increase

When the actual load is lower than the rated load, the CH530 can automatically increase the operating speed to shorten the working cycle and improve handling efficiency.

This function is useful for cranes that frequently operate with different load levels. It enables faster operation under light-load conditions without requiring repeated manual speed adjustments.

Automatic Heavy-Load Speed Reduction

When a heavy load or overload condition is detected, the drive can automatically reduce the operating speed. This helps protect the motor, inverter, gearbox, mechanical brake, and other transmission components.

The combination of light-load speed increase and heavy-load speed reduction allows the crane to operate efficiently while maintaining reliable load control.

Smooth Speed Control

The CH530 supports both linear and S-curve acceleration and deceleration. Four groups of acceleration and deceleration times can be configured for different crane movements.

Smooth speed transitions help reduce mechanical impact during starting, stopping, and direction changes. They can also reduce load swing and extend the service life of the gearbox, coupling, wire rope, wheels, and mechanical structure.

Multiple Crane Control Macros

Pre-programmed crane parameter macros are integrated into the CH530. These macros provide a convenient starting point for configuring hoisting, trolley travel, bridge travel, and tower crane slewing systems.

The commissioning engineer can select the relevant application macro and then adjust the motor and control parameters according to the actual equipment.

Flexible Motor Control Options

The CH530 supports V/F control, sensorless vector control, and closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback.

V/F control is suitable for applications with basic speed-control requirements. Sensorless vector control provides improved torque and speed performance without an encoder. Closed-loop vector control offers more accurate speed and torque control for demanding hoisting applications.
