The VEIKONG CH530 Series is a high-performance variable frequency drive specially designed for cranes, hoists, winches, and other lifting equipment. 1. Professional Brake Sequence Control
Crane applications require precise coordination between the motor and mechanical brake. The CH530 monitors the output frequency and motor current before releasing the brake. It can generate pre-torque before the mechanical brake opens, helping prevent the suspended load from slipping during startup.
Adjustable brake-release and brake-application delay times help ensure smooth starting and stopping. This function is especially important for electric hoists, winches, overhead cranes, and other lifting equipment.
2. High Starting Torque at Low Speed
The CH530 supports V/F control, sensorless vector control, and closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback. Under closed-loop vector control, it can provide up to 150% starting torque at 0Hz.
Powerful low-speed torque helps the motor start smoothly under heavy-load conditions and reduces the risk of load slipping during lifting and lowering.
3. Integrated Anti-Sway Control
When a crane trolley accelerates, decelerates, or changes direction, the suspended load may swing. The CH530 features a built-in anti-sway algorithm that helps reduce load movement during trolley and bridge travel.
This function can shorten load-positioning time, reduce repeated operator adjustments, and improve material-handling efficiency.
4. Zero-Servo Safety Protection
If the mechanical brake does not close correctly or cannot provide sufficient braking force, the load may move unexpectedly. The CH530 can detect motor shaft movement and activate its zero-servo function.
The drive generates holding torque to help maintain the current load or trolley position while issuing an alarm. This provides an additional layer of protection for crane operation.
5. Automatic Speed Adjustment According to Load
The CH530 can automatically adjust the operating speed according to the actual load. Under light-load conditions, it can increase the speed to improve working efficiency. Under heavy-load or overload conditions, it can reduce the speed to protect the motor, drive, and mechanical transmission system.
This function helps achieve a balance between operating efficiency and equipment safety.
6. Smooth Acceleration and Deceleration
The drive supports linear and S-curve acceleration and deceleration. Four groups of adjustable acceleration and deceleration times are available for different crane movements.
Smooth speed transitions help reduce mechanical impact, load swing, and stress on the motor, gearbox, wire rope, and other transmission components.
7. Pre-Programmed Crane Parameter Macros
The CH530 includes parameter macros for common crane applications. These macros simplify commissioning for hoisting, trolley travel, bridge travel, and tower crane slewing.
Operators can quickly select an appropriate application configuration and then make adjustments according to the actual motor and equipment conditions.
8. Flexible Communication and Expansion
Modbus RTU communication is provided as standard. Optional communication interfaces include Modbus TCP, CANopen, PROFINET, and EtherCAT.
Optional PG encoder cards and I/O expansion modules are also available for systems requiring closed-loop vector control, additional terminals, or integration with a PLC.
